To the Anam Cara Community:
Greetings in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
I want you to know I believe Anam Cara holds a special place in the life of the Diocese of Gippsland as a key expression of our intention to better travel The Journey Inward. The Diocesan Strategic Plan emphasises that as we travel The Journey Inward in becoming more Christ-like, we will be better prepared to go on The Journey Outward in joining with God in God’s work in the world. I commend the Anam Cara Community and Anne Turner as your Soul Carer for your commitment to enabling others to go well on The Journey Inward, and for your availability to others across the diocese in providing spiritual direction and the leading of retreats. You are a blessing to us all, not only in what you offer to us but simply by your being present among us as a community of prayer and contemplation. As you go forward into the new year, may you know the grace of God in all you are and do in the service of our Lord Jesus Christ.
